Walk Thru the Bible Lesson 15 – Job
It’s Not About You That’s Why You are Going to Get Through
Point 1: What I feel is factual it is not fictional –
Ez 14:14; Even if these three men—Noah, Daniel[a] and
Job—were in it, they could save only themselves by their
righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.
James 5:11; As you know, we count as blessed those who have
persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have
seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of
compassion and mercy.
Rev. 12:10; Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:“Now have
come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers
and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has
been hurled down.
Zech 3:1-2; Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing
before the angel of the LORD, and Satan[a] standing at his right
side to accuse him. 2 The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke
you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is
not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”
Luke 22:31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as
wheat.
Point 2: What I feel is not final -
Job 38:11; when I said, ‘This far you may come and no farther;
here is where your proud waves halt’?
Job 1:12; The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he
has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.
2:6; The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands;
but you must spare his life.”
Point 3: What I feel is not friendly –
Elphz – Job 22:5-9; 5 Is not your wickedness great? Are not your
sins endless?6 You demanded security from your relatives for no
reason; you stripped people of their clothing, leaving them
naked.7 You gave no water to the weary and you withheld food
from the hungry,8 though you were a powerful man, owning
land—an honored man, living on it. 9 And you sent widows away
empty-handed and broke the strength of the fatherless.
Bildad – Job 8:20; “Surely God does not reject one who is
blameless or strengthen the hands of evildoers.
Zopha – Job 20:5; that the mirth of the wicked is brief, the joy of
the godless lasts but a moment.
Job 40:1-5; 1 The LORD said to Job: 2 “Will the one who contends
with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer
him!”3 Then Job answered the LORD: 4 “I am unworthy—how can I
reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth 5 I spoke once, but I
have no answer— twice, but I will say no more.”
Job 42:5-6; 5 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have
seen you. 6 Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and
ashes.”
