John 11:33-35
“When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. Jesus wept.”
1 Jesus’ Compassionate Engagement
◦ Jesus doesn’t just observe our pain – He feels it with us.
◦ In His humanity, He entered into the full depth of human suffering.
2 Key Point: Jesus is fully God and fully human, which means He doesn’t just sympathize; He empathizes with our struggles. (Hebrews 4:15)
3 The Heart of God Revealed
◦ Jesus’ tears show God’s heart for human suffering.
◦ God is not indifferent to our pain. Jesus expresses God's sorrow over death, sin, and suffering.

5 Empathy in Redemption
