Pericope: Matthew 25:14-30 14 “Again, it will be like a man going
on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to
them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags,
and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he
went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of
gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five
bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two
more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a
hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. 19 “After a long
time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts
with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold
brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with
five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’ 21 “His master
replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been
faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master’s happiness!’ 22 “The man with two
bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with
two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’23 “His master
replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been
faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.
Come and share your master’s happiness!’ 24 “Then the man
who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew
that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown
and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was
afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is
what belongs to you.’ 26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy
servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and
gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should
have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I
returned I would have received it back with interest. 28 “‘So take
the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.
29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an
abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be
taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside,
into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of
teeth.’ find grace to help in time of need.

seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day

Gal 6:7-9 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man
reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from
the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit,
from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in
doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do
not give up.
2 Cor 6:1-11 1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive
God’s grace in vain. 2 For he says, “In the time of my favor I
heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time
of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. Paul’s Hardships
3 We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry
will not be discredited. 4 Rather, as servants of God we commend
ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships
and distresses; 5 in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard
work, sleepless nights and hunger; 6 in purity, understanding,
patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; 7 in
truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of
righteousness in the right hand and in the left; 8 through glory and
dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as
impostors; 9 known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we
live on; beaten, and yet not killed; 10 sorrowful, yet always
rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet
possessing everything. 11 We have spoken freely to you,
Corinthians, and opened wide our hearts to you. 12 We are not
withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours
from us. 13 As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open
wide your hearts also.
Life Application - The Blueprint for Kingdom Finances
1. Some of us need to dig up the talent we buried and put it to
work.
2. Some of us need to break free from a poverty mindset and
start trusting God.
3. Some of us need to stop waiting and start walking in faith!
