Could’ve, Would’ve, Should’ve: Pt 6 Measure-Up

Pericope: Amos 7:7-9 (ESV) 7 This is what he showed me:
behold, the Lord was standing beside a wall built with a plumb
line, with a plumb line in his hand. 8 And the Lord said to
me, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A plumb line.” Then
the Lord said, “Behold, I am setting a plumb line in the midst of
my people Israel; I will never again pass by them; 9 the high
places of Isaac shall be made desolate, and the sanctuaries of
Israel shall be laid waste, and I will rise against the house of
Jeroboam with the sword.”

your assigned roles? The man is the vision caster and the woman
helps the vision. Both are subject to one another according to
Ephesians 5:21 (ESV) 21 submitting to one another out of
reverence for Christ.

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden
to work it and keep it.
Point 4: Measure Your Retirement Life Psalms 90:10-12 10 The
years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty;
yet their span [a] is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we
fly away. 11 Who considers the power of your anger, and your
wrath according to the fear of you? 12 So teach us to number our
days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Romans 8:37 37 No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us. Phillipians 4:13 13 I can do
all this through him who gives me strength.
