Sermon Text: Joshua 6:1-16

Sermon Title: The Pattern 4 Answered Prayers

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been

published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows

opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his

knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done

before. 

Pattern 1: How do you Spell Jericho? Vs1, 2 1 Now the gates

of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one

went out and no one came in. 2 Then the LORD said to Joshua,

“See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king

and its fighting men.

Pattern 2: You got me Going in Circles vs. 15 - 15 On the

seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the

city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they

circled the city seven times.

Pattern 3: Shout it Out – vs. 20 – When the people heard the

sound of the rams’ horns, they shouted as loud as they could.

Suddenly the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites

charged straight into the town and captured it.

Gen. 11:6 “Look!” He said, “the people are united, and they

all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to

do will be impossible for them!

Ps. 141:2 - Let my prayer be counted as incense before you,

and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice!

Rev. 5: 8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living

creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb,

each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are

the prayers of the saints.; 8:3-4 - 3 And another angel came and

stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much

incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden

altar before the throne, 4 and the smoke of the incense, with the

prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.
